This trip has been absolutely incredible seeing so many friends—amazingly, all of these people I have known for 20, 30 and even 40+ years. I feel so fortunate to have friends for so long, and even if we don’t talk all the time or see each other for a decade at a time, we just pick up like it was yesterday.

The silly things that we did in the past are bandied about as we catch up. Laughter ensues, new memories are made. A few are listed below—the NSFW list I will keep to myself. Oh, and I apparently ruined Santa for one of my friends, I totally don’t remember that—bad me. LOL

  • The taxi to the beach because we wanted to sleep out there, and made them go through the McDonalds drive-thru on the way.
  • Not one, but TWO flat tires driving home from Charleston to Myrtle Beach.
  • Teaching my friends to drive a stick shift in the Killer Tomato–and promptly pulling the keys out of the ignition before the car was damaged.
  • Sitting on the porch in Florida drinking wine, listening to reggae & blues to all hours of the morning, never running out of things to talk about.
  • Basement apartment, karaoke machine, 2 microphones, and someone who said they didn’t do Karaoke–and then stayed up all night singing–alone after everyone else had gone to bed.
  • 3 keg going away party and so much craziness that I can’t even begin to list the mayhem of the night
  • Want a piece of pizza–you can have a piece of pizza… Still no idea where that piece disappeared to.
  • “Fishing” after work at ValPak
  • The summer of “cocktailing” on the waterway
  • Windshield wipers being ripped off a UHaul truck and tossed off the George Washington bridge
  • Delivering newspapers at the freakin crack of dawn, in not always the best way…LOL
  • Road trips to PA from NYC for crazy weekends
  • Eating fried gizzards in the middle of nowhere when we shouldn’t have even been out
  • Pom Pon, Brownies, Cruising the boulevard, kick-the-can, Crazy Zacks, scaring everyone by driving backwards through the mall parking lot at night with the hatchback up, and on and on and on

These are only small snippets of the millions of memories that just keep flooding back at every stop. It just makes me smile and laugh and know everything is just going to keep getting better and better because I’ll always have these people with me–and I have even picked up a few more in Seattle to add to this list.

And to those I missed along the way because of timing or other— just because I didn’t see you this trip doesn’t mean you aren’t as important. =)
