Yep, I made it through my first week at the new job. So much fun-filled activities like meeting tons of people and promptly forgetting all of their names & sitting through HR orientations. Love it.

I guess you could say the first week went pretty well. I didn’t kill anyone and no one killed me. And I think they are happy to have me on board as opposed to the last person who was in charge. Apparently she just sat in a corner not doing anything except telling them how much they all sucked and she should just let them all go. She also hired a guy that didn’t even know inDesign and held him up as the perfect example of a production artist. Gotta love it.

So after dealing with her, I come in and tell them I’m a touchy-feely person who has a habit of coming up behind people and rubbing their shoulders, I commit several HR violations a day [any hr people, this is a joke =) - really], I can’t cut a straight line to save my life and have been banned from doing so, I tend to bake and bring in goodies, I want you to enjoy your job, and I have got your back and I will protect you as best I can from the crazy things in the agency. I just need you to take pride and ownership of your work and at the end of the meeting we will all be singing Kumbayah.
Come on – what’s not to love?

I took just a couple of pics from last night. Stopped to have drinks with the crew.

There was only one thing that really sucked this week, and will continue some through next week. I’ll fill you in Monday night as its still in flux at the moment.

I did take a picture of my desk today, isn’t it beautiful? LOL  It will probably never be this clean again (Check out the pic of my old desk, in case ya’ll forgot what it looked like.) I have a window behind me that I can see trees and sunshine, and there is a door that opens to terrace.

Its so nice and clean. Wish it could stay that way.
