Yet again my friends have saved me from myself. LOL

Thank you to David for helping me pack up the apartment in Seattle. He definitely lived up to the “I’m going to make sure nothing breaks on the move.” I’m more concerned about breaking things trying to unwrap them from the layers and layers of paper and bubblewrap. Ain’t nothin’ gonna break the way he packed them up!

And thank you to Ali, for the company, and sharing the driving, on our cross-country race. It was a blast that I will always remember. Next time we will have to put a webcam and audio in the car, more than half the fun happened when we were just driving along. We now probably know more about each other than anybody would want to, and we can still claim to be friends.

She was also a great instigator to exploring my neighborhood. And boy, do I love, love, LOVE my building and neighborhood. We tested out the pool table, cyber café, and the movie theater (with a private showing of Iron Man,) and found some cool restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. Tons of shopping, grocery store, dry cleaner, tailor, and the beloved Costco right across the street, I may even drive less here than I did in Seattle. I even bought a new couch!

Ali is also now the little voice in my head telling me to get out, stop & smell the roses, smile & say hello, and have a pint at the local every now and again, you never know who you might meet. LOL (yeah, yeah, I know, unpack a couple more boxes and hit the gym tomorrow☺)

I’ve enjoyed writing this blog so much, I’m going to continue on. So if you want, check back often and see how my first week at the new job goes, if I stick to working out in the gym, what I find exploring the DC area, and possibly finally go on that elusive date I have been hiding from for so long. Anything is possible ;)
